It was a quiet weekend for Americans in the EPL...
Tim Howard and Everton came back from an early deficit to beat Wolves 2-1 and climb out of the relegation zone for the time being.
Howard had very little to do in this one and was only beaten by a Stephen Hunt strike from the penalty spot.

Fulham and Clint Dempsey had to settle for a point in their 0-0 draw against Sunderland.
Fulham can be content leaving a tough matchup at the Stadium of Light with a point. That being said, Dempsey should not be content as he missed a late chance to steal all 3 points, even if it was against the run of play.

Zak Whitbread was left off the Norwich squad in their loss to Arsenal.
Brad Friedel and Tottenham had a weekend off.

In the nPower Championship...
Robbie Findley continued his recent run of good form scoring a goal for Nottingham Forrest against Ipswich. Findley converted from close range off a Lewis McGugan free kick to pull Forrest level just before the half. Nottingham went on to win 3-2.

Jonathan Spector started and played the full 90 for Birmingham City in their 1-1 tie against Peterborough.
Finally, Conor Doyle was left off the Derby County squad.
